UFLI - Leaps of Faith Tournament, Madera, CA

We took a small team to the Leaps of Faith tournament in Madera this past weekend and had an awesome time.... We got to run with Luna (Brianna) from SoCal Surf City Flyball who came all the way up north to play UFLI with us for the first time!

We had Devo (Greg) start with K-Cee (Edith) followed by Luna (Brianna) and anchoring was Clover (Jenny).  We had help from Jim and Katie who box loaded both days for us and Jim did all the shagging with our pickup team running a PB of 18.975 over 9".  Nice new club PB... Great job everyone!

So Close To CanAm and Championships...

We are about 2.5 weeks away from CanAm and 3.5 weeks away from UFLI Championships.  The team is laser focused on getting Clover and Camden and Cooper comfortable with their runs and working out our passing and a few kinks before we leave.  We are so excited to race with our friends at Crazy Train during NAFA CanAm and then a week later with our friends at Crique Berserk for UFLI Championships...  Looking forward to our trip!

NAFA CanAm XI and UFLI Tournament of Champions Readiness....

We are about 8 weeks away from NAFA CanAm and UFLI Tournament of Champions.  FFF will be joining our friends Crazy Train / K9 Outlaws at CanAm in early October and then, the following week, we will join Cirque Berzerk at UFLI Championships.

We will have our trusty BC, Clover and both height dogs, Cooper and Camden with us when we arrive in Indianapolis and St Louis.  Because these athletes will be competing in back to back weekends, we want to make sure that they are prepared and ready for the challenge of high level racing.  Our goal is to keep them healthy and make sure they're having fun without stress from now until October... And then we focus on keeping them energized and safe in the lanes through the two weekends of competition.

That means conditioning work starts this week, along with diet changes and preparation for travel.  Clover is already doing swimming and full on free running at Jenny's farm.  Cooper and Camden took to the mats and we went back to basic box foundational work...

Follow us as we prep for our October tournaments...

Time for Alaska!

Right after the Surf Tournament, Camden and I packed up and made our way up north to Anchorage, Alaska to race with our friends in Region 18.

Two short flights from SFO to SEA and then SEA to ANC... And we were in beautiful weather up north.  A brief, short trip on Friday to learn about the Alaskan Husky and Iditarod racing at Martin Bruser's Kennel...

And of course, awesome racing all day Saturday and Sunday with Glaicers Shakers and the crew... Can't wait to do it all again!

Surf City Flyball Tournament...

Awesome times at Surf's tournament in La Mirada, CA.  We had so much fun running with Crazy Train and took home first in both REG 1 and MULTI 1 for Camden and Cooper, respectively.  Diego also got some time on the mats, doing recalls.

It was hot, but we all kept our cool and used the mat time as a nice practice for CanAm in a few months...

Stampede Tournament - Hurricane, UT

Long drive, but so worth it!  We drove to Utah to enjoy the beautiful scenery and to attend the Stampede flyball tournament.  So great to see all the FFF dogs doing so well and getting a chance to visit with our old friend in the region.

Diego kicked off Friday night doing recalls on mats in the lane... Both Cooper and Camden ran in the S2 team posting great times and doing nice close passes.  Overall, a great weekend!

SS Spring Tournament in Lodi, CA

Jenny and I drove to Lodi, CA to enjoy the weekend with Edith and Greg from All American Racers at the SS Tournament.  Fun was had by all and we placed 3rd in Open 1 - Whohooooo.... Thanks Greg and Edith for joining us and Jenny for making the trek with her 3 dogs.  Everyone did awesome and we even got to put Abby in for a few heats!  We used our BBQ grill to make hotdogs and burgers and spent our free time enjoying the weather.  Diego even got to do some recalls...  Great way to kick off the summer with our flyball friends!

Welcome Diego!

We are so excited to add the happy going awesome Diego to our flyball pack.  Please welcome Hot Rod Legends Never Die Diego, a result of X Flyball Trilogy and Top Dog Racers YOLO... Forever known as #TROLO!

Region 6 Running 16s....

Fun times with our friends at Crazy Train racing in Region 6 this past weekend.  Both Cooper and Camden did well and we were able to experience 16s on a racing team... Me, mostly, out of breath and Camden booking it to and from the box like a pro.  We also had a perfect un defeated day on Sunday winning all races and coming in completely clean... Whewwww... Now both dogs are in their post flyball stage... For about 2 hours....
